In the accompanying video, I give an overview of my impressions of the camera and discuss whether it is basically a gimmick for nostalgic shooters or a real attempt by Nikon to build a fanbase of users who love manual inspired cameras. I did have some issues, however, regarding the kit lens, build quality, and lack of an aperture ring on the lenses, which I felt detracted from the overall user experience. As I have not shot with a Nikon in quite a few years, I found the layout and menus to be excellent and much more intuitive than I remember. The biggest and most pleasant surprise was how well the autofocus system in the Z fc works as well as the menu system. I used the Z fc with both the 16-50mm kit lens as well as the Nikkor Z 28mm f/2.8 lens and found both positives and negatives about the camera and lenses. With the issue of habitat destruction, species extinction and economic damage caused by invasive species, it is important that those working in the fields of exotic pest management work in tandem with those not just in the landscaping industry, but also those DIY landscapers re-doing their front garden, to ensure that proper plant stock is used that not only looks good, but is also respectful to the environment.

We appreciate your mods reaching out to us, adding us to your sidebar, and we have responded in kind. Hello folks at r/landscaping from your friends at r/InvasiveSpecies. You'll see that a link to their sub has been added to our sidebar, and /u/DonTago, a moderator at r/InvasiveSpecies has thanked us by adding a link to us in their sidebar as well, and included this message for us: Both pro's and diy'ers alike can have a major impact on our dwindling natural resources by utilizing discretion when choosing plants and taking inventory of existing spaces. I've made us some new friends over at r/InvasiveSpecies! With the nature of landscaping today, our globalized economies, and our increasingly stressed natural environments, it's important for us as landscapers to be both knowledgeable and responsible in our plant choices. Now, through the contributions of everyone here, I feel like any new posters are in good hands with their questions and comments. A year ago, I made a point to read every post that came through the sub to make sure everything got a little attention.
